Woodland Film Transfer was founded in 1996 with the goal of providing the highest quality film transfer available for the most economical price. Since then, Woodland has performed film transfer for clients from all 50 states and many foreign countries. (To read what some of our clients have said, click here)

Woodland Film Transfer's state of the art facility and professional technicians and engineers can transfer your films to your choice of analog or digital formats. Our process is completely digital, start to finish. Your films will receive professional attention and the utmost in care during their stay here. In addition to film transfer, we produce award winning television commercials and episodic television for local and national distribution, and use the same equipment for all. Once your film arrives at our location, it is logged in and assigned an order tracking number that is applied to all materials submitted to us for transfer. Your film is then cleaned and inspected, with 50 foot reels spliced onto brand new 400 foot archival reels. Then, using broadcast quality equipment, your film is transferred into video in one of our transfer suites. The transfer is monitored constantly, using both professional video monitors and waveform monitors to double check exposure and color balance, as well as other aspects of the video signal. This is to both ensure accurate colors and levels on aesthetic levels as well as a video signal that meets the requirements for broadcast television. The film is captured onto custom designed and built storage modules rather than tape based storage, unlike many other transfer companies. These modules are then moved with the original film to one of our editing/authoring suites, where the film is put onto what ever format you wish, from analog formats such as VHS, S-VHS, Video 8 and Hi8, to Digital formats such as miniDV, Digital8 and, of course, DVD. Once the production on your order is complete, the tapes and or discs are checked for quality, and the materials are shipped back to you. Rest assured that at all times your precious family memories are in the best hands they can be. Our equipment is constantly maintained by an in-house engineering staff to ensure both quality of transfer and safety of the materials. You are invited to call us to discuss your project at any time, or if you are in the area, feel free to stop in and see our facility.
